Our First Day on Trek -- more pictures!
Day one of Trek! We had to arrive early for Ma and Pa things, like getting our cart and loading our family things in it. I liked the label for the rear of the cart!
Then, we had a Ma/Pa meeting. Here we all are with our Captains, the Trail Boss, and his assistant. (Poor guys -- had to ride horses!)
Then, a quick picture with our real son...
and the mist rolled in just as it was time to begin trekking. This fog came in most afternoons and kept the heat of the afternoon sun off.
Our Boy Scout sons had great practice with knots -- I think Shan taught them a new one and reminded them of others. Hooray for tarps! More later!

Yes, tarps and bandanas are the staff of life on these trips. I love your banners and signs--it must have been quite a sight to see all those kids and handcarts rolling along over the hills and vales. Congratulations on surviving, having only lost two toenails! It could have been worse. How is Teagan's hand?
