Oh, the influence of Dora!

Hi! After our long "break" (hahahahaha!), I will try to repent!

But first, don't you just love Dora? Staci does. So much so that she has a couple of phrases fully integrated into her vocabulary! She doesn't even use English for her favorite: "Abre!" She will stand at the back door and yell: Abre! She'll get a snack pack bag of crackers and say, "Abre!" No "open" at all!

Someone visiting our home commented that they haven't ever known kids to actually DO what Dora (or Diego or anybody else) tells them to. Until they met my kids. They will sing, dance, clap, "say" and "say it louder" right along. I did help them do it at first, I confess.

Time to go -- I have to Abre the apple juice!

Traci! My daily checking was rewarded by a post! I love the "abre"...just wish my kids would do what Dora told them to do. I do know of other kids that are more like your girls! I think it's adorable.

thats pretty much amazing! I know some kid that always says vamanos! and I'd like to credit this to watching Dora. I don't get to watch Dora very much, but I'll admit, I love Dora, but shhh, don't tell!

That is hilarious! I love the words that kids pick up on! Taryn asked for helado (ice cream) the other day because Dennis and I talk about dessert in Spanish. Who knew they were catching on? Vamonos!!

Simply ADORABLE. It doesn't get any cuter than this.
